Vintage 1965 Ludwig Champagne Sparkle Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Hey guys, I'm looking into buying a vintage kit and I was wondering if I could get your advice.

I'm looking at this kit:

http://www.kijiji.ca/v-drum-percussion/barrie/vintage-1965-ludwig-champagne-sparkle-drums/1007677323

I offered the owner $500 for the kit. I have yet to hear back, but I was wondering what you think of this kit.

Is $500 fair? What's the usual price of a kit like this?

The front bass drum rim isn't original, the mounted tom is a club date tom, also bass drum is missing the cymal arm, yes you offerd a very fair offer

Excellent, thanks for the response!

I'm not too concerned about %100 originality. I'm interested in having a cool looking, interesting little kit I can plug away on. I hope he agrees that it's a fair price.

It was a no-go. He said he could easily get $1000 for the kit on eBay. I wished him luck.

I'll have to keep searching!

Yeah right. Another green-eyed seller who probably thinks his drum kit is "rare" ..
