I'm looking for information on a vintage 5 piece slingerland kit. If anyone can tell me a year, a model name, and value I'd be much appreciated. I'm considering selling the kit but don't have enough information to do so.

Bass 20" s#. 40624

Floor tom 16" s#144739

Snare 14" s#42433

12" tom no s#

Oddball is correct. Need more info and pictures. You say it's a five piece but you only listed four pieces. What is the other drum? What is it's serial (if any)? Are all the badges the same? Post some general pictures, a badge picture and maybe some interior shots. Welcome to the forum.

OK, definitely 60's. Bass and snare are most likely '64. Rail consolette and T-rods are consistent with that year. The bass drum cymbal holder may not be original, idrum4fun should have more info on that. Check bass drum interior for a date stamp. Interior is expected to be clear maple. Need to see the strainer on the snare to positively identify the model. Shell is probably COB, check it with a magnet. All hoops should be COB also. Check the rack tom interior for a date stamp. Is the interior clear maple? Floor tom is probably '67, definitely not earlier than mid '66 as it has a badge and wing nuts for the legs. This may have a chocolate milk stained interior, check for a date stamp. The pictures may not be doing the WMP wrap justice. Is the wrap severely yellowed? Let us know what you discover.

Snare appears to have the zoomatic strainer so a Krupa Sound King model.
