That set is going to need a LOT of work and parts replacement but everything seems to be there. Where are you located?

No, I have not sold them yet. I am trying to make sure I have all the information on what I have before I just sell them quickly.

I am located in Pennsylvania near Gettysburg.

If you were closer (I'm in Pittsburgh) I could take a look at the drums in person. You know, it's not difficult to pack and ship a Radio King set. I've done it many, many times. I would suggest selling the cymbals and stands separately. Less hassle when shipping because all of that hardware just adds expense to the shipping and really isnt that important to the drum set. Old high hats, pedals and snare stands are extremely common and relatively inexpensive.

The best way to ship a set like this is to put the snare drum inside the bass drum with bubble wrap to protect it. Then, put them in a 31x31x18 box. The 16x16 floor tom should go in a 20x20x20 box. The other two toms (12x14) and 9x13 would have to go in separate boxes. Once you have them packed, you can visit the UPS web site to calculate the cost of "ground" shipping. Typically, an entire set can be in the $200 range, depending on location and amount of boxes.

Hope this helps.

Thank you! I currently have someone who may want me to ship them to cincinatti, oh. I was wondering how much that might cost so this helps. How do you usually have people pay you? Is paypal a safe way? Thanks!

Yes, PayPal is safe but there is a percentage charge to the recipient.

Bumping this one to the top. Anyone here end up with these or know if they ever sold? so many topics like this go into the cold case file. It's nice once in a while to know the outcome. Cool drums and a nice project. Anyone? Coffee Break2

No one ever purchased them. I was uncomfortable with shipping them so far. So I never ended up selling them to the buyer in Ohio. I received a few other offers, but some wanted me to split the set and others I didnt feel were offering a fair price so I still have them and am still looking to sell.

I'm surprised they never sold. Such a cool drum kit I thought they'd be lone gone by now. Sorry to hear things haven't worked out. Are you anywhere near Sellinsgrove? There's a Vintage Drum show there at the VFW this Sat. A yearly deal. Would be cool if your local perhaps someone heading to the show would be interested and stop by. Good to hear your keeping them together. Maybe this topic coming back up might stir things up a bit. Here's a facebook link to the show. Guy named Jack Lawton is the host. He might know someone looking for something like this? Worth a shot maybe?

I am actually pretty close to Sellingsgrove. Unfortunately I will not be home this weekend or I would definitely check it out.

I would really like to try and sell them soon. I need the money to help my grandmother pay for her home care. That is the only reason we are selling. I did start wiping them down it and it looks like they are mostly just dusty. There is some rust, but otherwise they are in good shape.
