It has the real Buddy Rich model snare drum with it also.It won't sale for no less than 1500.00 for sure.

Actually, the snare drum is the Ray McKinley model, not the Buddy Rich. But, still a BEAUTY!

If you listen carefully, you can hear the busy chatter of thousands of keyboard clicks as VDF readers all over the world furiously scour the web for this beauty. ;)

It looks like a find, but my son and I just finished a light restore on a super classic kit in WMP from 60-61 so no funds available anyway at this time. :(

Indeed! ... I know you prefer the depth of the Ray McKinley! Buddy, not so much. He was truly a 5.5X14 and DOWN type of guy! I had a near MINT 1950 WFL Ray McKinley in WMP, and yeah ... what a beauty, in aesthetics and sound!

Tommy I have a WMP Mc Kinley also it's pictured in my pictured. I love my Br models also but alas I do like the deeper shell better.

I called today and they're not for sale at this time... FYI it's 2112 Percussion in Raleigh. I'm going to try and check them out in person to at least get a glimpse.

Okay... Help! I purchased this kit today. Now, I am a NOVICE at vintage drums. Brought them home and started looking at the kit and note the Bass Drum has a Ludwig Keystone, not WFL (the TT, FT and Snare do). The hardware is WFL... So, I don't know that this is an original kit. There is a date in the bass drum but I can't make out the year anymore but the wood really looks more like maple (lighter than the other drums). The hardware is in great shape. The only issue w/ wrap is on FT with some lifting at the seam and some cracks. So, I'd love thoughts on the kit. Did I just get burned? Paid $1900.

I'm sure this is a complete and real kit your bass drum is preserial number so it's at the time frame of the end of the WFL badges I've seen this a few times before with the bass drum usually having a different badge than the other drums would have. You paid more than the going rate due to the damage on the floor tom wrap with all that you got. Did you buy them from 2112 ?

Thanks for the info... yes, 2112. They listed at 2K and I offered 1800 (tax taken putting it just over 1900). They do look really nice in person and around here it's rare to have these types of kits for sale.
