WFL White Marine Pearl Floor Tom or Shell (Player) Last viewed: 4 hours ago

Im about to embark on a 1948-1952 WFL restoration project. The kit is WMP. "WFL DRUM CO" brass Damen badge. Some of you may have seen the Ray Mckinley snare I fixed up a few weeks back. That is the original snare to the kit. Now I am getting the rest of the drums, which include a 24 inch BD, 13 inch tom, and an early 60's Ludwig floor tom (16x16) but the floor tom is blue and silver duco (it was added later).

SO, I need a WMP floor tom. Id be happy to trade the duco drum, use it as part of the deal, or sell it outright so that I can acquire the correct floor for the kit.

Ill get some pics going once I get the drums in my possession and get them looking good. Onviously the drum I would LIKE to get would be one with the 1948-1952 brass "WFL DRUM CO" Damen badge....but Ill settle for any brass keystone drum. Even a 60's Ludwig floor would work. Again, players condition is fine...the other drums are not in mint condition by any means. Ill be playing this kit ALOT in the future.

I actually have lugs/legs/muffler/hoops to complete a Ludwig floor, so even just a shell would be fine as long as the finish is WMP and the keystone badge is there.

Thanks!

Just wanted to re-state that I will take a 60's Ludwig shell.....as long as it is slightly yellowed WMP....even if it is missing all of the hardware. I have correct hardware I can put on.

Give me your orphan!

Thanks!

Saw those! Thanks lucky! They were a 13 inch WFL tom like mine and a 15x12 L&L field drum. Both were missing badges....but I think he was asking $100 for the pair.

A good deal for a restore, but I really want a 16x16 with this kit. If I could find an 18 as well that would be fantastic, but for now Ill settle for a 16. They have to be out there! Wasn't WMP one of the most common colors? I know 16 must have been the most common drum size!

Woo! Thanks man!

Send pics to [email protected]

Also, attached is a pic of my cleaned up bass drum so you can get a feel for the pattern. I think my kit is roughly 1948/49. It has a couple of 50's/60's mods that look to have been professionally done. Two Gretsch L Arm holders from the 50's, a 60's Ludwig consolette, and 50's Slingerland skinny spurs/mounts.

Stoked to see this drum!
