I always loved Ringos drum sound in this tune.

There are many that have killer drum sounds dialed in perfectly, but if i had to name just one it would be Pink Floyd`s "Dark Side Of The Moon"-brilliantly recorded drum tracks! Not just the drums but all the instruments on that album were recorded incredibly well, and that was done in Mar. 1973(41 yrs ago).Amazing...

Yes, indeed - and it was done by Alan Parsons, he was the recording engineer on that album... "The best sound engineer ever", as Ian Bairnson (guitarist w/The Alan Parsons Project, Kate Bush,...) once stated when he was interviewed for a Swiss Jazz Show on TV.
I, for my part, love the sound of Henry Mancini“s drummer on my old "Living Stereo" records - it just melts on the tongue...:)
I can't seem to narrow it down right now, but I can say that it annoys me to no end when everything is on reverb except the drums.
I do like this:

Tony Williams "Lifetime LP" woke me up to a more melodic tuning approach.. Here's as close as I can find to on UT. He always blew me away with his tom sound..
Another nice recording of drums was Jim Keltner on the Sheffield Labs direct cut "Thelma Houston & the Pressure Cooker LP". Down here that album was used in almost every HI Fi showroom for Demo's... Still stands up today..
Cheers
John

Lots of great recorded drums through the years , but one drum sound that always grabbed me, even though I am not a fan of the song really, but the drum sound is killer. Listen to those toms and that crisp snare.
"Radar Love".
I can't pick just one! So.. I'll just have to pick a few!
Jazz: Billy Martin- Medeski, Martin, and Wood (specifically the album, "A Friday Afternoon in the Universe)
Classic Rock: Simon Kirke- Bad Company (the recordings always sound nice and raw! Like they just mic'd up the drums and didnt add heavy eq to the mix) -my favorite example of this is the song "Ready for Love."
Alex Van Halen- first couple of albums, drum sound is amazing!
And of course, John Bonham's sound... but I think that one's obvious.
Metal/Alt Rock: Vinnie Paul- Pantera
Carey- Tool (unbelievable sound mixed with
unbelievable playing)
Abe Cunningham- Deftones (Around the Fur, White Pony)
Funk: Chad Smith - Chili Peppers- (specifically for me- Blood Sugar Sex Magic album)
Jim Keltner- Steely Dan- Josie
I think I am missing a few... but I suppose that's enough for now!
David Jones (Aussie drummer)&Atmosphere,
Stewart Copeland The Police (especially his snare sound),
Cheap Trick The Flame WHAT IS that snare? ! :),
Sandy Nelson Let there be drums,
Phil Collins,
60s 70s Western movie sound tracks especially the snare sound,
Dave Abbruzese? Pearl Jam his Brady snare sound,
Aaron Commes? Spin Doctors when he's playing Brady.
Omar Hakim on Bowie's Let's Dance...
HANDS DOWN- this is my favorite drum recording so far- HEAVY COMPRESSION please........................
