What is this hole for? Last viewed: 7 hours ago

I bought this Gretsch snare drum at a garage sale this afternoon. There is a hole on the side. It's a big hole. Ones anyone know what it is for? Also, the edge if the covering is loose. Can I just glue it back down with regular glue or do I need something special? Thanks.

Julia.

It was a tuning key holder , it's like an air hole grommet that you stuck your tune key in the hole. nice garage sale find.

Julia,

I think I have 1 Snap In Key holder left....

And...have the rim and rods you need to complete..

If you and your dad want to swing back down here again...give me a call.....

I thought it was for a muffler. My dad still has your card. How much did you want for it. I payed $100 for the drum is that a fair price.
