Blues in one band, classic rock and originals in the other.

One of the guitarists in the blues band is also a drummer (with a 1964 set of Ludwig BDP) and he approved with enthusiasm, although he also enjoyed playing the Yamahas.

Black chrome finish has elicited nice comments from some audience members, but no one has commented on the difference in how the toms sound.

The kit I play depends on what I had for breakfast, the color socks I'm wearing and my deodorant choice of the day...

Low-key indie pop kinda stuff.

As to whether or not a 20 x 14 would work live, well, there are SO many variables that come into play - mic'd vs. un-mic'd kit, monitors, sound engineer, drum heads, amount of dampening, how hard you play, bass drum beater, size/volume of your group etc. etc. I suppose it depends a lot on the situation and type of gig you're playing.

13, 16, 20x14 red sparkle mid 70's Slingerland. Everything from Chuck Berry to Pink Floyd, blues, prog rock, jazz, etc. On the bass an Aquarian super kick 2 with a coated single ply on the front. Been told to ease off the bass a bit while rehearsing unmiked. I think the red sparkle helps.
