Since we're on the subject...a picture's worth a thousand words. This picture is the worst section of a 5x8 tom I have that has 24 EXTRA holes. Badgeless, Ludwig tom mount, Slingerland lugs (offset and still touching). I should just hold it next to my good drums and tell them that this could be their fate if they go out of tune.

Anyone want to try and save my E pattern vistalite big beat that the original owner sanded and painted black. FLOCKING single stage acrylic enamel car paint. One crack whole kit. Colors are yellow and red. Wish he wouldn't have painted these drums!!!

[email]1999 Pearl Prestige session select silver laquer
1960-1970s BOP Lud Big Beat
22" WFL WMP 22" drilled bass saving as still playable sounds better than any other bass i've heard.
13" Ludwig 1963 Yellowed WMP tom I use W/ bass as aforementioned. FUN

MastroSnare:

Keen catch! Having dealt with Donn Bennett numerous times, I feel compelled to convey that he is a fellow of high integrity.... I guess Elvin himself just didn't feel the same way most of us do!!

(On the other hand, I'd absorb Vintage's wrath in a hearbeat in exchange for Elvis' playing ability....)

- Current restoration Project: Geo Way 5 piece
- 60's Oaklawn Walnut Camco kit (12/12/14/20) matching Snare (Camco hardware and Paiste black logo 2002s)
- 70's LA Maple Camco kit (12/13/16/22) matching Oaklawn snare (Rogers hardware and Paiste Signatures/Mellow ride)
- 70's Blue Vistalite Ludwig Monster kit (6/8/12/13/14/15/16/18/24) matching snare (all Hercules hardware, all Zidljian shadow logos)

Thats hilarious...besides the price, those xtra holes were done at a time when modifications were the norm. Its rare you see as many virgin pieces as we do,which explains the big price ticket...Im thinking Elvin or no Elvin, some Gretsch head is going to pass on that drum because of the holesWalking

Hit like you mean it!!

Speaking of Holes, I saw this ad and the original ad when it first posted, and it immediately reminded me of this post. I thought nobody will buy that set with those holes he drilled. Well I was wrong.
