Your Birthday Date Stamped Last viewed: 2 minutes ago

Loading...

I have a WMP Pioneer that has the right month and day, but the year is blurred. This is from the pre-serial era, so it is hard to know for sure if it is from the right year, but it narrows down to 1960-63. If I squint and hold my tongue just right, I can see the right year (1963), but I can't really be sure. The other characteristics are right (red ink date stamp, red felt baseball bat tone control), but they are not unique to that year.

I have an Acro with the right month and date, but it is from my 8th birthday in 1971.

Collecting information about the following for ongoing research projects:
Gretsch drums with serial numbers,
Ludwig Keystone and B/O badge drums with serial numbers and date stamps,
Ludwig Standards from 1968-73, and
Ludwigs with paper labels from 1971-72

We got a pic taken together. No news on the will........

What a nice gesture. The man loves Ludwig drums. No doubt that meant it all to him.

From human71

I have an Acrolite Stamped April 7th 1971, just 3 months shy of my birth date, which is January 8th 1971.. I'm still searching for a 70's Ludwig bowling ball oyster blue kit with that exact date, or close to it.. Either that a or a blue sparkle..

I have a mod orange clubdate that had jan 9th 1971 stamped in the 8x12. Oddly enough the serial numbers on the bass and floor tom are super close to the serials on the drums I have with my exact birthdate so I have a feeling that some of the set was put together at different times. Of course the bass and floor have no date stamps. The 12 also has a higher serial number than the bass and floor tom so it could have been finished up around Jan.

I could guess and say that the bass and toms were done at the same time with badges and all and no drilling and then for some reason a 12" tom was needed for another set so the bass and tom sat for a few weeks until christmas passed and then a 12 was added to the set. This is all just theory though but I don't typically see pieces made that far apart and the set definately came together as it all has the exact same even fade.

From The Ploughman

I would be happy for the chance to own Rogers Dyna-Sonic 9560

I'm with you Ploughman, but with my luck, my birthday Dyna tag is probably sitting on a marching bass drum.:(

I stumbled upon a Supraphonic on e-bay a few years ago that was a perfect match, but the bidding got outta hand, ah well

I do have an Acro though, from the right month and year, just by chance

I would like to find a drum stamped Aug. 9th.

My Dad and I did by a Mod orange, 1967. We opened the to when it arrived in 97 and it was exactly 30 years from the date stamp...I believe July...1967. We felt the deal was meant to be!!
