once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
How about the original sparkle wraps from the 20s that were made from sand?
1965 Ludwig Hollywood
1970 Ludwig Jazzette
I hardly ever come across Slingerland's yellow tiger pearl when checking out the usualy places online. I am a big fan of this particular wrap.
Also, Ludwig TopHat&Cane seems to be "known" as a pretty rare wrap.

Of the, "non-hideous" wraps (LOL), my vote goes to pink champagne. A well kept pink champagne kit just looks so badass. It's almost the reverse of what the name implies.

The funny thing is that the "rare" wraps are rare because nobody liked them when they were being sold, so they didn't make as many of them! Now, 50 years later, some of the same guys who passed right over them love them and are collecting them! The irony of this is hillarious to me. Some of you guys, in your golden drumming years, created your own market and didn't even know you were doing it!Laughing H I guess the same could be applied to many different niche items though........
have a wonderful evening

Besides this photo, I've only seen it on two trashed concert toms and on other two, in it's blue version. Never on a full set and/or in person. I don't even think it's so pretty, but it's rare as ***.

I've yet to see Slingerland orange sparkle. I know it's out there but you never see it.
