I don't know how rare this color is but Premier Aquamarine Sparkle is awfully hard to find in decent condition now. It turns the most foul shades of green, yellow and grey not to mention the liver spots.

I don't know if this qualifies, but they have got to be considered rare; how about the Slingerland shells factory wrapped in blue jean denim from the 70s?
I've found so many wrap's I like/love, and dis-like on here but I'm still in love with my first (owned) wrap, Lemon Strata Standards. note; The close up photo is before I cleaned these up, they look great polished.

I don't know if this counts because I've never seen the wrap on a production kit from any factory, but, I just used the last three sheets of a discontinued Delmar wrap called, Abalone' on my Camco orphans. Coolest wrap I've seen, I'm surprised it was never used by any of the big-name companies.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

John those Camcos look beyond cool in the abalone wrap. Well done sir!
I like collecting the American made brands and wraps that were not very popular back when they were new.
I have this 1965 Walberg & Auge Salmon Satin Flame set and this 1972 Walberg & Auge in a color that I call Ice Blue Glass Glitter. I've seen a few Gretsch sets in the Salmon, but this is the only set of any brand I've seen in the blue. W&A used whatever they could find. I speculate that they bought sample runs of wraps that none of the major drum companies wanted.
I apologize for posting twice in this thread with the same info. I had forgotten about posting back when the thread was new.
My bass player looks at my phone photo album of my resto project and claims, "Drum por*!" This thread is the best drum por* I've every laid my Eye Ball on.
So much fun!!! Keep 'em coming...pics too. I'm new to vintage drums so this is all FANTASTIC for me!Clapping Happy2
