Thanks for the compliment in the Ice Blue set. The Salmon Satin Flame is not ugly, it's double ugly. The wrongness of the wrap on a set of drums is what attracted me to it in the first place. Anyone can have ordinary looking drums. I have some of those ordinary drum sets, too. But, the factory weird finishes appeal to me in a perverse way.
rare drum wrap colors Last viewed: 4 minutes ago
I know what you mean....awhile back, a fellow here on the forum was selling an 'Avacado Wrap" set of MIJ. never seen that color before and I couldnt keep my eyes off the picture!!
There was no floor tom, or else i would have bought them. The reason I didnt was because i knew I'd never find the matching floor.
I'll say it again...
Once you've been Avocado, you can never go back.
Slingerland's 'fiesta pearl' was my favorite of rare wrap's.I've always wondered of Slingerland ever manufactured a complete drumkit in this finish.
This one color right thereBesides this photo, I've only seen it on two trashed concert toms and on other two, in it's blue version. Never on a full set and/or in person. I don't even think it's so pretty, but it's rare as ***.
I meant to comment on this wrap. Man, that is so cool! What is it?
Slingerland Aztec.... so ugly it's pretty !
Here's my outfit in Brown.
This thread remnds me of one of those ugliest dog contests. I think that the Aztecs might edge out some of the rest we have mentioned for tacky coolness.
got to throw my ludwig galaxy sparkle in the mix. pretty uncommon wrap. i would really love a set of ludwig pink oyster pearls one day. maybe it will happen. i never dreamed the galaxies would happen.
