This is a very cool thread indeed. I like the idea of getting some valuable input of guys that have been doing this for that long.

As to the Top Hat and Cane finish, here are some photos of the late Dennis Stauffer's fantastic work using custom wrap from Drum Supply House / Drummaker.com.
