DOH I'm Shocked that your still allowed to continue to sell here on vdf . I think VDF should do more to protect it's members from people who sell with high volume of complaints and dissatisfaction from other members looking for resolution .

You have NO idea just how 'in agreement' I am with you on this. However, it is not David's or Tommy's place to keep track of the good, the bad, and the criminally ugly. We speak out as best we can and hope that the members hear and heed. Unfortunately, some of them take it as flaming an individual and with all the back and forth explanations ... the message gets diluted. The result is ... very clear. In the past six months, members of this forum have been taken in one way or another (depending on how you wear your pants) for over two thousand dollars in cash and merchandise, that I know of. That's outrageous, but it is what it is. We speak out as clearly as we know how. Still, there are those that will continue to see the positive in the walking negative integers. And so we will continue to roll those numbers. Sure, there are MANY MANY MANY most excellent members here to do business with. But, get two or three schmucks doing a few screwy deals each and the total money/merchandise caught up in negative deals can grow pretty quickly. It truly takes one bad apple to spoil the whole bunch. In our case, we've got a couple of 'em.

I do have to ask a question. Has this sort of thing happened with this person in the past? I joined this site in late December so I'm asking if it happened before that.

Just curious. Thanks

Not relavent. He is who he is.

Overall ... There are a few members on this forum that (for whatever reason) have given less than wonderful business deals. There is usually a story attached to each one that attempts to explain and detract from the point, but when they stack up into the two digit arena, the stories join the dung pile out back. Everyone is deserving of grace, but eventually we hit the line. If you stick around for a while, you learn pretty quick who to do business with ... and who to avoid like the plague. There are a few here that would sell the corns off their mom's foot if it would bring in another fifty cents. Lousy human beings from where I sit.

Thanks for the reply.

There are a few folks that I would never buy from given their attitude while the person I've dealt with had thousands of posts and seemed pretty popular with many of the veterans here.

Unless someone stands up for what is right and says something (and the posts don't get deleted), how do the new folks know who is legit?

RogerSling is right. We all get caught up in this friendly banter, back and forth alliance building process that happens on virtually every posting board such as this. Mikey is a very busy man. His businesses aside, he advertises far too many items for sale, on far too many sites and falls far short of his goals to reach maximum efficiency. Quite simply, quit ordering from him, let him get caught caught up. We all know he has parts we want, need and cannot find anywhere else in the world, but the facts are what they are: he cannot keep up with our over the top requests and demands. Give him a few weeks or months, to catch up.

Gravy!...

Allow me to briefly address.. ( "and the posts don't get deleted" ) : The reason that they can or may be DELETED within a thread is simply because they get UGLY. Childish.. boorish.. moronic language and attitude that has no place in an otherwise friendly and respectful vintage drum forum. Does that mean that there are no complaints, or certain individuals that shouldn't be exposed for bad practices? Absolutely not! We all have to have each other's back, so to speak.. but .. it has to be done in a non combative or vile manner. When the comments get overly personal and/or threatening, I have no choice but to "scrape and clean", which means certain posts will be DELETED. Keep it civil, either in the positive or the negative, and everything stays put within the thread. Pretty simple actually! THANKS for your thoughts/input!
