Here ya go Brian. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a picture of an original vintage Biman set, only one of the newer imports.[Attachment: 64538]

Mike, those are beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing. Do you know if they are for sale?

there a very select drum bimani bros made them during the 80's quite rare actuallyLoLoLoLo

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Brian,

It is with great sadness that I have to inform the forum that Biman is no longer manufacturing or selling drums. They have met the same fate as Rogers. Evidently labor costs skyrocketed in India where their import sets were being made, so Biman Industries was forced to shut down their drum production division and focus solely on their low-cost, commuter airline business. They are apparently quite successful and profitable now, as they don't have to comply with those pesky US FAA safety regulations, and all passengers are required to supply each flight with a gallon of aviation fuel. Damn, Mike, that's a shame! I do understand the competition in today's market though. In a way, I have to admire the ingenuity of the Biman Corporation. At least they refused to outsource to China and Taiwan like so many manufacturers of drums have done. Starting a completely different business must have taken some courage and initiative. I certainly hope this new venture will fly.

LoLoLoLo Now we're just getting silly. But if we can be serious for just a moment, I'm making available several pairs of "Rock Band" model Biman sticks from the '80s (see pic below). These are the quality US made sticks, not the imports from India. $15 per pair (due to their rarity) or will consider trading the whole lot for a 1940's CB700 floor tom in Mardi Gras wrap.
