Go to JBC and Company.comIt is a sight for orthodontists. The products are still available.I just don't know if you need a dental license to buy.Maybe not.Where are you located sir?Perhaps you can visit my shop.Just like Jerry let me do when I was starting out.

That offer you just made him brought a tear to my eye. Made me think of the first time I saw Jerry's kit in front of the pool. I was hooked like a fish after that.

Yeah John, I feel the same way.

I think about Jerry all the time.

I say Hi if you know what I mean.

I got to say this again:

I was clueless about how to restore Blaemire green FG drums.

Found out about Jerry from internet pics of his Monster Kit at the Hollywood Drum Show.

Became a member of 2 forums to track him down.

Found him and posted a request for some help.

He did not know me at all.

But........he invited me over to his shop.

Turned out, he was 5 miles from me. What luck!!

He wanted to help anyone who was restoring Blaemires.

He shared all the tricks and helped me get the weird dental fillers.

He was GENEROUS and GIVING.

Thanks Jerry

OK, back to restoration.

So Jason, you can patch little holes easily with the monomer stuff.

I have also patched a large 1 1/2" hole with many applications of monomer and powder. (see pic)

Later, Jerry told me he patched big holes with a scrap piece of a shell.

I have done this too.

Shaped it to fit and joined to shell with monomer and powder.

Patch with scrap shell looks better.

See pic of 16X24 BD finished. First Blaemire I restored.

That's a fantastic looking bass! I love the maple hoops. I ordered a set of red stain hoops to see how it looks against the green. If it's lame, i'll go maple. I figured i'd try the red first. Do you have any shell pieces left over? I don't care for the slingerland set o matic... i'd love to get rid of it.

Yes, I have some small remnants.

Mendozart may have some too.

How big of a piece do you need?

Both Scott and Greg have done some seriously amazing work on Blaemire drums. It's worth going back in the archive and checking out some of their projects/threads.

The hole is an inch in diameter. So just a hair above that to fit it...

So i threw some COB hoops on it for starters. I'll probably try and locate some slingerland COB to match the lugs. Very thwappy sounding. A little like vistalites. Couple picks in different light. Still waiting on bass hoops.
