Glenn - Thanx bud!
Pops - All kudos and credit for the drum belongs to the guy who made it. The only way I can possibly thank, Jinx for this wonderful instrument is to hope that this thread and the photos I will post will help to spread the word about these great one-of-a-kind drums.
Jenkins/Martin - collectibles of the present and the future. Not to mention, they are kick-a$$ drums!
More photos to come, hang in there.

Cool JohnSo glad you are digging it. If you notice as you rotate the main body of the throw off, you can fine tune the wires even more. I cant wait to see the whole rig set up.Oh...and the 10" has been stripped of the wrap and it was a bear. I started the stripping then Greg did me a favor and finished it. Black is the new black :)
Jinx,
What a great looking drum. What would a 6.5" x 14" Blaemire snare cost?
Very proud owner of a new Blaemire Snare 6.5 x 14 made by Jerry Jenkins "Drumjinx"
Squint - It's a -perfect- 'Live' stage drum! It's got volume and it projects. Lots of attack. You can add one of these to any kit and improve the overall sound of the kit. You know that the "Heart" of any kit is the snare and bass drum. Getting one of these eliminates having to look for at least one of these two basic kit drums. Find a good bass drum and you're all set. Add toms as needed!
Boys, some help, please:
I need:
One - 22" Ludwig bass drum hoop. Inlay or not doesn't matter. Should be in nice condition in terms of not being chewed up or out of round. I don't mind stripping and repainting as long as the wood is in decent shape.
20 - classic Ludwig T-rods I don't mind a little wear as long as the chrome is still there.
The claws and tees that came with the bass drum represent at least four different drum companies... all Japanese. Very few pieces match. I have 20 vintage Ludwig claws (currently in the tumbler!) but I'll need 20 legit Ludwig T-rods. I also have to spring for a new round of heads. The drums themselves are in very good condition considering how hard they were gigged. I'm not at all crazy about the Tama tom mounts or the bass drum mount. Heavy, bulky, over-built hunks of metal meant to hold up Sherman Tanks, not tom-toms. I'm leaving it intact because that's how they were put together originally. But I plan on mounting the toms independently of the bass drum. I'm not going to kill a perfectly good bass drum by putting all that weight on it. Maybe I'll play them 1-up, 1-down with the rack tom in a snare stand. Still considering possibilities.
If anyone has the parts I need, please pm me with details. Need the parts asap so I can assemble these puppies and play them. In the meantime, next comes the Novus treatment. The wraps are all on nice and tight, and no dings, cuts or bad scratches anywhere. Just haze from handling and normal wear. The Novus will make the wrap look shiny new again.
I need those parts!

John, what does a classic Ludwig T rod look like?
Might have some. or.........Might be WFL.

Greg, what do you have? 50's/60's Faucet handle? Regular Ludwig curved T? Either will do.
Solution to the Tama hardware problem: I'm going to use 60's Rogers Swivo hardware on the drums! I think I can make this work! The Rogers stuff is sturdy, lighter and will look 100% better on the drums than the heavy Tama stuff. These fiberglass drums are heavy enough by themselves. I'm going to lighten them up so they can shimmy.

Hey John,
That was Scott that replied about the t-handles.
Glad you like the J/M snare, it's a killer. I do agree that the bass drum and snare are the heart of a kit. Wait till you dial in the Blaemire bass drum, you will be amazed. Hopefully you have an EMAD handy, because it is definitely what you will want to use on the batter side.
Why don't you go with Ludwig mounts on the toms? The hole spacing is pretty close, right. Looking forward to your progress with the kit.
