From Dan Boucher

I've never seen that setup before, so you have something unique. '64 catalog shows this one. Anyone got the catalogs from '66 onward?Use both kits. Play lefty from time to time for a challenge!

That's the kit that was in the music store in town!

I remember lightly tapping with my fingers on one of the front BD heads...and it had a nice "boom" to it..

Resonant...in other words..but I was only 12-13...what did I know?

I've got the kick and snare together. Snare sounds fantastic, though I don't like these old throw-offs much. I need to get a Super Kick III set for the kick before I'll like its sound, which is usually the case for me. I just had some Evans stuff lying around.

These are the cymbals that came with it too, and the stands.

Man o man! Nice one!

On my gretsch round badge kit I have a super kick two clear on the batter and an American Vintage on the front. Looks VERY nice with the vintage Gretsch decal, and it sounds great. Just a suggestion!

OK, I got the 4-pc done a lot sooner than I expected because I had a free weekend right away. I love the sound of the 12" tom and the snare, while the other two drums need some love. I don't know that I'll keep these unless the kick drum suddenly sounds much different with new heads. They're not really my style right now.

When I get the other two drums done I'll get out the backdrop and shoot these proper.

Oh, and great tip about the Bar Keepers Friend, that stuff is awesome! I'll be taking the rust off all these stands soon.

i am glad the barkeepers friend worked for you, they also make it in a spary and a cream. for rust sometimes it take awhile to clean off heavy rust but works well for it.

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!
