From Wayne Brown

Jeff and Creighton-you guys are being too hard on yourselves. This forum is not about who is better or worse. It`s about all of us helping each other to be better players and have better knowledge of vintage drums and both of you are vital to this forum. So play on boys and Rock the House!!!Wayne

Well said! :D

Thanks Wayne! Actually I have been improving fairly rapidly and I do owe a lot of thanks to the people on this forum. You guys are like big brothers that are always encouraging me to keep going. Over the last couple of years I have had some excellent advice from members.

One of the best things so far was I had asked a member here for some constructive criticism on our tracks we laid down in the studio. He responded in detail and told me exactly what I wanted to hear, and it is helping me tremendously. This forum is extremely valuable for restoring, dating and learning about vintage drums but it is also a place to go when you are feeling a little low and need some words of wisdom to lift you back up.

Thanks big brothers!

Thank you!

I was just joking about the worst drummer here.....I have said publicly that I don't care what I sound like, and totally never cared about what others thought I sounded like. Just ask my neighbors!Laughing H I play along to hair metal, the 80's stuff, to listen to that golden era of music and because I like to make a lot of noise. Mission accomplished.

I won't be entering the "best drummer on VDF" contest any time soon.....Laughing H

Kojo Odu Roney plays eons above his years.Incredible how a 9 yr. old can have the jazz chops and skills of a seasoned veterine drummer and make it look easy. Now that`s about enough to make any of us throw our sticks away,however...i think i`m going to hang onto mine awhile longer as there`s so much to learn. Even from a nine year old jazzer who could play in the "Big Leagues"...incredible!!!

On a similar note, these 12 year olds played Coachella and just signed a $1.7M deal with Sony.
