Can someone please post a pic of what the Standards T rod looks like on the bass drum? I'm wondering if mine have been switched out. Thanks
Brought home Standards tonight. Last viewed: 1 hour ago
I don't have a picture handy (or a drum to photograph) but they did use a different T rod on the bass drums than the regular Ludwig classics used.
From what I can see in your picture those look like the right ones.
Here you go EC! I just scored some Blue Strata Standards myself recently and I also believe the T-Rods are original in your pic.

Those are correct. Not sure why they used those. One assumes it was a cost savings measure of some sort but I'm unsure why using a different one would save much over the very similar ones already "in-house". I suppose even a few pennies savings multiplied by 16 or 20 rods on thousands of sets could add up to a substantial amount.
Thanks guys I appreciate this. These shells are really clean so I hope someone can see past the missing ride tom. Anyone have an extra ride tom?
They come up quite a bit on Ebay and pretty reasonably priced when they do. Looks like the kick is a virgin. Is it a 20inch ? My kit actually came with a spare 20 inch kick that was a virgin that I am going to be selling off since it is a spare and I don't really need it.

Took some pics of these today outside. These are real clean. Even the hardware looks really good.
Blue (and Ruby) Strata seems to have been among the more popular Standard wraps so finding a matching 12 or 13" tom should be pretty easy.
That "virgin" bass drum means this was originally part of one of the double bass drum sets. Too bad the rest of it is gone.
Timbale toms came with these drums. The timbs are B/O badge though. The inside of my standard shells are granitone so that tells me these were probably some of the last standards? The only thing that makes me think these didn't come together though is the timbs were drilled with standard tom mounts.
Those blue strata drums look really nice. I always like the Standard wraps better than the Classic wraps for some reason.
By the way, here's a Standard kit with a little history and it's for sale in Nashville.
