Hi Everyone,

Greetings from St. Paul. I love the photos of last year's Chicago show,David.

Rob Cook and the crew sure put on one fantastic show and I've been to

everyone but the first.

I got my first VD (vintage drum) when I was 11 years old and I've been buying, selling, and trading ever since. It was a 1929 Ludwig New Era snare

later matched up to a RadioKing kit. This was in the mid 60's when Ludwig was the top set, yeah, yeah, yeah.

I've completely disassembled, cleaned, repaired (if needed), and detailed

100's of kits and snares. It was a great way for a musician to make some extra cash and also learn a lot about vintage drums. My favorite drums and cymbals ended up in my collection. My oldest playable set is a Slingerland Rolling Bomber (in Rob Cook's book) and my new kits are early 70's Camco and Gretsch. Out of all the sets, 60's Camcos are my favorites, though I

would be happy playing most drums from the 60's and 50's.

I look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones at the upcoming

big 20 year anniversary show. Senses of humor welcomed.

We've Got Rhythm,

Joe Luoma
