Circa 1976/77 Slingerland Brown Aztec 5 PC Set - What to do? Last viewed: 17 hours ago

I am so sorry to be the one to break the news too you... but I do feel it is my duty.
Your drums are counterfeit.
Yes, so sorry, but counterfeit they indeed are. Back in those heady dark days of the late 70's there was a tribe of militant mollusks working for indigent guitar players that turned out these counterfeit Slingy's.
Fortunately, I will be able to block any and all prosecution against you since I'm a registered member of... of the... Percussion Police or PP for short. Yep that's it.
So, you'll need to transport that counterfeit kit here, to me in California (along with a small donation) and I'll be happy to 'keep you in the loop' when we PP's nab these nefarious hooligans.

I just received the Aztecs today.
I must say they are in nearly flawless condition.
The finish is perfect, and no picture I can make can really do it justice.
There's lots of gold highlights of varying depth and fullness that my camera just won't pick up well.
I'm gonna shine up the hardware a bit over the weekend, and give photographing them another go with them set up outside... weather permitting.
John was very easy to deal with, and did a first rate job on packing.
A great deal all around !!
Thanks very much, John !!!
