Not an original offering though, was it? I know that working with the glass glitters is a bit more difficult. Will it cause any issues with head fitment due to the added thickness of the material?

I only have one experience with new wrap. I bought it from jamin sam. It was vintage white pearl and to me was pretty thick. I think the glass glitters are even thicker yet, so yes be careful. I would suggest picking three of your favorites and getting samples of each, they look so much different in person as they do on the computer. And as for the glue vs tape issue, I think the glue wouold be better.

I don't see why this would discourage people. He is looking to wrap in a wrap like they used in the 60s and asking for knowledge on what was popular back then. Am I missing something.

I think vintage drum guide has the ludwig finishes listed from that time period. You've basically got all the sparkles, plus the oysters and wmp. I love a club date in a blue or champaign sparkle. Wmp is nice too

But some more info is needed here. I assume this is a Ludwig club date. The phrase club date has been used to describe several different makes. Any idea on the year? Any date stamp? Have you looked thru the vintage drum guid? Im glad to hear you want to wrap with the correct finish. Im no expert on it so I do use the drum guide to look at old catalogs to try and figure out what was offered. My club date is sky blue pearl and it looks great!

Purdie & I have both done have both done duco fade paintjobs, and a simple black paintjob is timeless, & cheap. Wrapping a whole kit can get pricey...marko

Marko, do you have pics of your duco? Would like to see them.

Not certain it was originally available for club dates, but I vote for burgundy sparkle.
