Concert Tom Revival? Last viewed: 1 minute ago

Not sure how I managed to miss this thread... I'm a big fan of concert toms, in the right context of course. I have a few sets of them in Vistalite, Wood (standard and cutaway,) stainless steel, and fiberglass (Blaemire, a la Hal Blaine's.) I've even dedicated a site to them - www.bermudaschwartz.com/concerttoms

Awesome website, Jon. I couldn't agree with you more about the aesthetic value of concert toms. You seem very passionate about them. I have to say, I saw Weird Al and you guys live at Weber State University in Utah back in 2000. You guys really pleasantly suprised me. An amazing band. One of the best performed shows I've seen in decades.

Here's a Slingerland concert tom kit I have. I'm currently gigging with my Premier kit, but I can't seem to let these go. They were originally COW but they were so dinged up and rusty, that I painted them and then later wrapped them in black chrome.
