Hey Jon,I had a set up just like this one, only silver metallic: 13/14/15/16/18FT/24BDI believe this was called the "Country Rock". Served me well for decades, and just as you say on your site, I have some live recordings where the toms sounded amazingly full with ebony Pin Stripes. In fact, when I added a second bass drum, I placed the 13 and 14 in between the two bass drums. This is why I still mount the toms to the left of the kick to this day.Dan

Beautiful kit!!!

Bermuda,That is a very cool site. I certainly enjoyed a quick tour. I recall seeing Karen Carpenter playing a kit similar to the two depicted here. I believe she set the concert toms over her left rack tom and then they extended over her hi-hat.

That's typical when using 6 or especially 8 toms, there's just no comfortable way to shift more drums to the right (or move the hats to the left.) Hal already knew that back in the day...

And he also had a rack tom to deal with!

Check out this guy. I've been admiring his intricate, yet tasteful drumming for quite some time now. Liam Genockey. Plays Tama(?) concert toms. Used to have another concert tom positioned above those two. Quite nice sound!

Bermuda,...

..Looking at the .."Ultimate Roto Tom" kit on your site, I see it has a HH that appears to have some kind of actuator that plugs in or something, What is that, and more importantly, How does it work ? ( it has no pedal)

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

It's a standard cable/remote hat. The cable makes a loop-de-loop, then comes down to a pedal visible through the kick/roto on the right (drummer's left.) There appears to be another on the opposite side as well.

[QUOTE=jespo;234633]Hi, This is Jeremy Esposito.. .the one that allegedly owns the Judy Collins tour kit. :)

Thanks for posting any info about the Judy Collins tour! Please keep it coming.

I recently purchased this Slingerland 10 piece concert tom kit off of Craigslist. (10, 12, 12, 13, 13, 14, 15 ,15 16, 16)

Note: Above is quote from Jespo. I messed up the quoting process.

Wow that set has been on CL for a few years. I'm surprised that it took so long to sell. The price was nice, too. Glad you got it.

Indeed... I'd been watching it for months and the price kept dropping. It did need some cleaning... But well worth the price of admission. The historical aspect was a bonus. Can't wait to play it out!

This is not the photo I recall, nor is it the same drum kit, but the set-up and the sizes are the same. That just seems pretty difficult to manage ergonomically to me.
