once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Timely subject for me Jeff. I have been looking at DB pedals also. I'm looking at the Iron Cobra 200 pedals for $180 and 600 pedals $250. The 200 has a single chain and also has 2 little nylon wheel bushings where the 2 tension springs are. The 600 has a double chain and looks like a more beefy bearings in place of those nylon wheels. I have seen those nylon bushings wear out and break. Maybe the metal bushing from the 600 might fit the 200 if and when they do? The IC900R and DW9000 series are really nice buy way out of my league price wise. Unless I see something used like Kelly found (nice score btw!) so we'll see. Keep us posted on what you find. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/HP200PTW/http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/HP600DTW/

Glenn, I can tell you this much. I have been using the Iron Cobra, I guess it is a 200 series, I only paid about 80 for it. It is a single pedal, I have had it for three years, dont play every day or do long gigs but it still works fine and I like it very much. But then again, I am no pro, just a guy in a garage band. I would like to get a double pedal just for fun someday, Im in no hurry though.

Thank you!

Jeff thanks thats good to hear. I haven't had the chance to see or play any of these yet. Sounds like the 200 is a good solid pedal. That works for me and saves $70 over the 600. Also the one in the FS section is a very nice deal too hope you can snag it. I'm a ways off from getting one. Have a few things to take care of first.

Glenn.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

When I was checking out the double pedals with my student, he bought a dw200 used one they had for $154, but they also have a new Mapex chain drive double pedal for $99 that I thought was pretty decent.
