Nice sounding drum.
DW Dynasonic? Last viewed: 1 hour ago
Definitely warmer sounding with more body than most DW metal snares I've heard and played. Have to hear one in person.
Not Rogers but I'd like to see DW make a two piece 20's style NOB shell ala the coveted Black Beauty. No doubt much less expensive than the real thing would be.
I could have sworn last time I looked at the Truesonic it was $379 at GC.
Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

And Dunnett has introduced his take on the Supra...

glenn I'm fairly sure Dw doesn't even have a snare drum in that price range. except the performance line. here from GC http://www.guitarcenter.com/DW-Collector-s-Series-True-Sonic-Snare-Drum-110130465-i3628443.gc
+1 on Purdie Shuffle`s comment re:bringing back the swivo hardware line.Only problem is alot of that hardware was machined and in todays times might carry a very heavy price tag to duplicate.

I stopped by Professional Drum Shop in Hollywood a few months back. Love that place! Anyway, there was a True-Sonic drum that caught my eye. Very impressive! First, it's a heavy drum! More importantly, the snare response is very sensitive all the way out to the edges...just like a Dyna should be! Couldn't find any issues with the workmanship! Got me thinking about ordering a DW "Headliner" kit with the True-Sonic, until reality let me know that this would be a very expensive kit! I can still dream!

I get what you and others are wishing about, but seriously most modern hardware has far surpassed swivo hardware at least Dw has.

Thanks Mark. I checked too before I posted. I must be nuts. Laughing H
Now that you mention it I think it might have been a 8x14 Performance series snare in WMP I was looking at for that price. :o
