I like on CL when seller says 'asking 300' but will entertain offers, or will

take less. Just say 250 then. lol

If I'm doing CL and all I want is a certain price then I state FIRM.

Good thread Roger...

Don't you think this thread should be in the "General Topics" area. Since you aren't actually selling anything. Just a thought.

Actually started to put it there ... then thought that it might be more appropriate here. It's all about the For Sale section and such. I don't know ... I may be wrong, but I still like it here for some reason. It just seems to fit better. Who knows ....

Speaking of this topic, what happened to that recent 6.5" deep Supraphonic thread? The one that popped up over the last few days? I was trying to have this same conversation over there...

Ugh! People who post "for sale" but not "for how much" drive me batty. Most of the time they have an idea in their head of what they want to get for it. Why not just post an amount and save EVERYONE the trouble...???

My favorite is, "Will send pictures upon request". That's the same as listing the item without a price. That, or, "I'll post the pictures I have later when I get a chance." Well, dude...you just had time to make your ad. Take the extra minute and add the pictures--it's just a couple of clicks. No need for cutting and pasting.

"Um, yeah, I've got 'em, but I'm only gonna give 'em to ya if youz ask." Lame

I agree. Post a price. It simplifies things. It is transparent.

I will add to that - Potential Buyers: if you feel a price is unreasonable tell the seller in a pm, rather than in a knock out drag out reply for all to see. Do it in a respectful way, perhaps even make a counter offer, and back up your counter offer with recent sale prices for similar items. I hate it when I see someone offer up something and then see nasty replies along the lines of "dude are you f#$%ing crazy, that price is soooo high". No counter, no recent sale prices.

Anyway, just my two cents.
