Johnnydrums,

if you Google "Ginger Bakers Silver Sparkle drum kit"......

you will find pics where they show him using 12" by 20" and 22" BD's......

As I said earlier, they even show pics to compare a 14" deep BD to a 12",and if you look at the pics, you can see how close together the lugs are..........

yes I read and saw that but something seems amiss the picture I posted is that kit with rogers hardware look at the 8x10 and then the bass drum I very well may be wrong but if I am I need new glasses, I think they are referring to the info on a kit he made himself not his luwigs, only Ginger knows and I am not askin.. lol

I beleive he had x14'' kicks on some kits and x12'', or x11'' or whatever on other kits. Check this out, I found it from too much googling a while back:

Hope this clears things up.

johnnydrums it may infact be you the one that needs to do more homework because it seems like blair is onto something here.

i know one thing is for sure it seems like we are all doing a little bit of homework on this one including me. it seems to be very intriguing.

i found in multiple locations that there are notes on him having x11 BDs in silver sparkle so there could be some truth to it.

in fact, i think i found somewhere that his modern DW kits are the x12 BDs.

interesting indeed!

Well, I would love to read an interview with him talking about his kits. If a good one exists, please someone give us a link!
