I did a bad thing Last viewed: 1 second ago

I guess I'm just a natural-born chump, but I sold my clear Vistalite kit to a guy who gave me a sob story about how he had to argue with his wife to acquire this drum set and negotiated me down from a position where I was already taking a loss. I normally wouldn't care about that, but now I see (just over a week later) that it's on eBay in bits and pieces.

I understand that this is America and he's free to do whatever he wants with it, but I didn't need to sell it and would have rather sold it to someone who intended to play it (as he said he did). Obviously, I would have held onto this kit if I had any inkling that he was going to part it out.

Anyway, for those who are seeking clear Vistalite pieces and see items from eBay member "jlocdog," just be aware that this was once a complete kit.

That is a sad story my friend, I feel bad for you. Makes you want to get everyone together and buy back the parts, re-assemble it. Thanks for pointing out who the seller is, I'm sure everyone will remember that name.

Thank you!

Al,

I really feel your pain with this! While there is absolutely nothing that can be done about this, it will still infuriate many of us who may have been in the same position. It's obvious that the buyer never had any intention of playing the kit and only saw possible $$$ by parting it out. Makes me wonder if he's related to all those eBay sellers we know and love SO much!!!

Just do your best to chalk this one up to a possible lapse in judgement and try to move on. We're all here for you!

Al, That is terrible! Don't beat yourself up too badly...we've all done things for which we hate ourselves later.

And 5 negative feedbacks in his past history. All over 12 months ago so they don't show current. But still.........

Wow! I feel for you - you were trying to help a fellow drummer and he did this in return....for what! = a few bucks.

This person is desperate to be doing this sort of thing. Sure - it's a 'free country' but still. He needs to be called on it jsut the same.

Track him down....stand in his driveway in the dark.....

Sorry, I'm hungry and I get cranky when I see this sort of thing.

Again - very sorry to hear this happened to you.
