I want to mount my tom on the kick, but I'm hesitant to drill any more holes. I'm looking into buying the type that clips on to the kick, but I don't know how stable they are.

Thanks man! If you're talking about the hoop mounted clipper with a spade for your tom...then yes I have and still do use one. I have one on the Galaxy kit that i showed earlier in the thread. I also use one on at least two other kits. I put some cut and fitted moleskin patch to the mount and sometimes the underside of the kit to keep from messing up the hoop finish. Once you get them adjusted and crank them down, no problems.
