As a caveat: I have heard that the Standard hardware was supposed to be 'different'. So me checking one Standard kit -vs- one Classic kit is not the final word. Ludwig mixed and matched everything, especially on the earlier and later Standard kits. Shells, lugs, etc...

So there you go! More mud in the water! :)

Yeah, I checked rack toms & the bottom hoops have a sort of rounded edge where the t-rods go; top hoops resemble typical CLASSIC hoops (still unsure whether they are the same or K-Mart quality) -

That could very well be caused by that infamous 70's virus called concert toms. Everybody removed the bottom heads and some evil being devoured all those rims...
