So I'm way late in on this one and don't have much to add - beautiful kit, one of those unusual, though I always thought logical, tom mounts.

What I do have, which might be interesting, is a lot lugs, both Camco and re-fitted DWs with the right sort of swivel nut (as in, not the DW skinny thread) and a single Camco floor tom leg/L-arm mount which probably fits those two holes on the right side of the bass drum.

I am however in Sydney, Australia with the attendant high postage costs but might be worth it for you as a one-stop shop if we can figure something out. Am shooting through Canada in late May/early June but that's probably too long to wait. PM if you're interested.

Oh, a Plumbomatic(TM) BD/tom mount!

I actually think that mount was fabricated and installed by a plumber.

Yes you did and thank you for doing that. I agree the big hole looks factory, its so clean, and so are the four small holes to bolt it on. The part that confuse me is the spur bracket being used for a tom mount. I took one of my spur brackets and laid it on the shell, it doesn't line up with anything. I have looked at hundreds of pictures of Camco drums and the only thing I see is either rail or the triangular mount. Now maybe you are referring to a different spur bracket, I don't know, I guess at this point it doesn't really mater what happened. The fact is, the holes exist and I need to decide what to do with them. A triangular style mount would cover some but not all of the holes, the rest I would like to fill with wood and small piece of wrap taken from under a lug or from a piece of other silver sparkle wrap. The rest of the wrap is too nice for a re-wrap. Anyway I have plenty of time to sort it all out, it will take a while to find the parts IL bet.

I also agree with the double muffler on the tom, so now I need three of those because the floor tom is missing one also. This kit ended up having a lot more issues than I thought but I am still glad I brought it home. I was aware of the tom mount, pretty obvious, but man I still had to buy them.

Thanks again for your help, it is very much appreciated, that goes to everyone.

Thank you!

Twin tone controls,... of course that’s it !

Well spotted guys !

I took a few pictures of the triangle tom mount plate.

We’re not doing inches over here but I guess you can make the conversion yourself. The hole spacing measures 98mm.

Good luck with the project Jeff !

I count -6-plies. Steve can correct me if I'm wrong, Camco used 4-ply Jasper Maple shells in the early Oaklawn era and 6-ply Jasper Maple shells in the late Oaklawn era. All 60's as far as I know, so early, late, doesn't matter, you got Oaklawn Camco's. The most desirable shells the company ever used. For $600 you stole them!John

John is right, at that price, you stole 'em. Like I told you, these things are insane. Someone once told me that the badges go for around a hundred bucks each. Somewhere, I've got two or three mint, NOS Oaklawn badges. I should sell 'em! lol

I 'might' have a triangle plate and double (not single) tom mount. The lighthouse looking thing and post. I think I've got a couple, if so I can spare one. The down side is I'll be busy as, well, busy until this next weekend. I'll go through my parts then. A trade would be great. Seeing as how this is Camco stuff, I'll take your work van... :)

If I ever meet new to Camco people I alWAYs ask "Do you prefer Gretsch or Rogers drums?"

Gretsch I steer towards Oaklawns, Rogers I steer them towards LAs. There is definitely a difference and that part is personal preference.

I agree completely. I've never owned an 'Oaklawn', but have played on quite a few. That's a great way to state it, DolFan.

Antipodes offer for lugs is something you may want to jump on. Original Camco lugs are nutso hard to find. The re-worked (standard swivel nut) DW lugs work perfectly also. The hardest thing to find, I'd think anyway, would be the spacer riser washers on the bass drum. Luckily, you've got those.

You’re most welcome Jeff,...

The only parts that I can ship to you without cannibalizing any of my drums are 8 bass drum T-rods. Trades are fine with me.
