Leedy and Ludwig Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Okay, so here's the Leedy and Ludwig I just bought from a friend of mine. Is this a Broadway model? And can anybody tell me about the faux metal finish?

It's the original finish and it's not a wrap. The other unusual thing about this drum is that it was never drilled for a tone control.

The stamp on the inside is from Drummer's Paradise in Toronto which was a great store that went out of business many years ago...

Wow! What a beauty...and the condition looks to be amazing! The finish looks like a "stipple", but I don't find that offered in the Leedy catalogs on the VDG.

Awesome looking drum. The finish looks like it's made of metal. A very nice vintage piece. Hold on tight to this one.

It's a beaut. I took it all apart and cleaned every square inch of it.

Sounds great and I love the look of the finish and nickel hardware. The snare strainer works really well too.

I have 16 strand Puresounds on it because the snare bed is narrow. I think it's a solid shell.

That finish looks like Hammerite paint.
