Hello, I'm working on a kit inspired by Levon Helm's drums, used with The Band. Some people were interested, so I thought I'd share some pictures and keep everybody posted on the restoration.

Specs:

25.5(aprox.)x12'' Ludwig Universal Bass drum

15x3'' Ludwig Tango snare drum

15x10'' Ludwig marching snare (converted to floor tom)

14x8'' Unknown brand marching snare (converted to rack tom)

Those look so great and different from what we're used to see!

Imagine them in some smoky underground room with walls full of antique posters and graffiti and the band plays some kinda Velvet Underground - jazz fusion... OK, my imagination is runnin' a bit wild, far from The Band... anyway, those are just too cool!

It's not often I see a kit that stuns me. This one has. Absolutely one that I would love to own.

They look fantastic! Really terrific job and the coolest kit I've seen here on VDF in ages. Please keep us posted with your progress.

Absolutely beautiful! It seems that each one of those drums individually could have been a Marching Drum. COOL!

I don't know the brand of my rack tom, and I have a thead posted discussing that. I'm also looking for a strainer for my Tango snare.
