No, I didn't buy any Jimmysticks there either. The name was too off-putting to me so I bought some Vic Firths. And I've been playing them ever since.

I recently sold a Kashian 20" ride and 16" crash on eBay (UK).

The crash was nothing too special, slightly thick / heavy, maybe OK for heavier rock - still way better than modern some entry-level offerings.

The ride, however, was pretty decent - nice low-pitched, well-defined ping. It would've been a keeper if I hadn't been having a clearout.

Vic Firths are so yesterday, passe, done. JimmySticks are happening, today, hip and just plain cool. These sticks are built to Jimmy's exacting standards. Don't miss the boat on these! Cool Dude

I agree, the ride does sound pretty awesome, and I'm really happy with it. It has a sweet tone. The 18" crash/ride does sound brighter and it is rather thick and heavy weighing in at 1814 grams. Maybe because it's also a ride? I'm not sure. It is a loud crash for sure. Has a pretty decent ride sound however.

If I get a chance I'll post a sound file soon.

Jimmy,Any chance of posting a soundfile or video for us to see how they sound in action?Cheers

Thanks for asking, but I can't seem to upload an audio or video. My phone records audio in mp3 and the video is mp4, but the site doesn't seem to let me upload either.

I think I have it now. This might work.

Excuse the lousy sound, it's just a little mic on my cell phone and nothing else. I almost don't want to post it because they sound a lot better live.

Edit - if it doesn't connect on the first try, it does on the second...for some reason.

Never have played a Kashian cymbal.

During the last six months I have bought a few new crashes , 2 of these are "Rotocast" Ufip's & are without doubt the most beautifully functioning & sounding cymbals that I have ever owned. The Ufips have replaced some 2002 Paistes that I was just tiring of. I would recommend anyone in the market to consider & audition some Ufips.

Cheers

John

Yep, that's exactly what my ride sounded like - surprisingly good, isn't it?
