Good story, nice to know it was her drum and she was willing to meet with you after the show. I have been to hundreds of concerts but have never seen the gogo's. Have a good day!

What's interesting is how often you saw new wave and punk bands with Rogers. (Sex Pistols, Ramones, Go Go's all featured Rogers.) I don't know what to make of that observation btw.

Coulda been a hip artist relations manager at Rogers during that time period. Or none of the older established artists wanted to work with them....

One of my best high school memories was in 1982 (I think). The Go-Go's craze had just hit our small town. I lived in remote Eastern Oregon, so we were always on a bit of a pop culture lag. Anyway, there was an "air band" contest at one of the school dances. Several of my friends and I dressed up in bath towels and did a lip sync to We Got the Beat. It was silly, but we won, due mostly to the antics of our John Belushi look-alike front "man." He was the heavyweight on the wrestling team and looked like a black bear without his shirt on. Good times!

Stop stringing and tuning your instrument, make music now.

Photos please! Funny story. Still love their debut single the best "Our Lips Are Sealed". Still can't make out 98% of the lyrics today but who cares? It was Belinda!
