From Purdie Shuffle

That's GREAT news, Vinny! Justice has been served. It still doesn't guarantee that some of these low-lifes won't just log back into the forum under a different name. That guy Statuscymbal is one example.Keep your eyes peeled for a sealclubbingeskimo in sheeps clothing! They can change their names, but they can't change their stripes! :DGood for you. Vinny!John

That is very true . That is why i have my warning signature . Sadly I was told to remove it over on DFO a couple of weeks ago I guess protecting the members is not important over there . I hate thieves !

Warning ... Avoid member statuscymbal here, vintage_collector on DFO , and americanpatriot10 on eBay. Email me for his name. All are the same shady guy who has burned me and a list of other members on both boards . He is also selling on Facebook too ..

There is no place for thieves on this forum or anywhere else for that matter! I'm very happy to see that justice prevailed! YES!!!

Vinny,

I'm so happy that this ugly mess worked out in your favor. It's unfortunate that this had to happen to one of the good guys. When you and I chatted on the phone a few years ago to discuss a bass drum sale, I could tell instantly that you were a man of integrity and character; the kind of man who could be trusted and who places trust in others. Same can be said for 99% of our VDF community; all those generous members who routinely "gift" parts to others to complete projects, expecting nothing in return. It's so disheartening to see corrupt sellers and buyers infiltrate our little community and take advantage of the good guys.

I'm not going to let one or two bad apples from "the real world" taint my trust in humanity, but still, it forces one to wonder if the value of a man’s word, and character, and integrity, and honor, are merely old-fashioned qualities slowly disappearing from our society, soon to become as rare as the vintage drums we collect. I hope not.

Mike - Take heart in the statistics... we've got about 100 regular posters, out of those there may be two, or three bad apples. That indicates that 97% of the guys are decent, honest and can be trusted. The bad players identify themselves. Usually, not always, they can only get away with their plots and schemes once, or twice before somebody exposes them to the rest of the community. That 97% number is enough to maintain my faith in humanity. The other 3% is always going to be there. All we can do is back each other up when one of our community has been ripped-off, or wronged. Once we identify who the crooks and the spoilers/trolls are, we can do what the Amish do... shun them like they don't exist. They'll seek 'greener pastures' elsewhere once exposed.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Good news! This poor excuse for a drummer called Mark Baugh (SealClubbinEskimo) didn't get to keep my items for free! Paypal investigated, checked the USPS receipts with the obvious difference on the weight of the packages and they ruled on my favor refunding me from the original amount. In other words from the total they subtracted the price of the items this thief "forgot" to send back and they made a refund on my favor! Justice has been served!!!!

Same Mark Baugh from Valley Station KY...?

Found him on FB....

Maybe take a pic of him and add to yr avatar..?
