Shouldn't there be a level above Guru? Last viewed: 0 seconds ago

Ok not sure where to post this but I noticed there are guys on here that have over 5000 posts, but more importantly have tremendous expertise, on a variety of topics. I've learned a great deal from their posts. They should have some more advanced distinction. Like maybe drum deity or maybe there should an intermediate level like drum demigod, or maybe Drum Bishop and Drum Pope?

Naw, guru is good enough. Too much administrative work above that level.

You notice I'm lagging below in title to lighten my load even more?

Personally, I would prefer to be called; The Grand High Exalted Mystic Ruler! Bowing

But my wife has better, more humbling nick-names for me! Toilet

Guru is fine... Guru's are supposed to be humble anyway! Guitar Dude Man

John - No applause please, just throw money!

Too many great drums to list here!

It is true that there might be a special title for certain people, not necessarily based on the number of posts, just on the level of expertise. And I think THAT should be the guru title. I mean, I have "Vintage drum guru" written under my nickname, but that's just because I wrote a few hundred posts like "Oh, man, those Club dates look awesome!!!!!!1" or "Gee, I'd love to have a swimming pool filled with sparkling champagne and floating Zildjians carrying immense piles of potato fries." I don't feel like a guru. This title should be awarded personally by admins to people who've proven they know their drums. I'm sure everyone has a few names in his head.

"Drum Knowitall"?

(By the way, Guru should not be anywhere near my name, unless we're talking Italian meatballs and gravy.)

I am happy with my title. I think it may be a PC way of calling me something else.
