Hey all you gigging stiffs out there.. Just thought i'd post this up for fun and thought it would be interesting for all of you hard working drummers out there to show off your gigging or workhorse drum kits, vintage or not, from whatever vantage point.. Here's a top view of my little workhorse that i use for my classic rock, pop, and funk band.. My restored early 80's and early 90's mixed Ludwig kit, complete with vintage Paiste cymbals..

Drums are a mix of early 80's Rockers Tom and kick with the classic lugs, and Super Classic floor tom, from the last of the Chicago era drums..

Sizes are -- 22x14 -- 16x16-- 12x8-- 5x14 Supraphonic b/o badge- circa 1971

Cymbals are a mix of vintage Paiste and are as follows..

15" Formula 602 Medium Blue Label hi hats- circa 1981

20" Black Label 505 thin crash/ride- circa 1974

16" 2002 Black Label "crash"-circa-1976

Nice, straight-ahead and human looking set-up. I expect it meets all minimum requirements for sounding good, looking good and feeling good along with not being too much to lug.

Next gig will find me on this, and from your same perspective:

1968 Rogers jet black with 14x20 Londoner bass, 9x13 tom, 16x16 floor tom, 1966 5x14 COB PowerTone, couple of K's and a set of Newbeats, with one Camco stand, one Swivomatic stand, Mapex pedal, Yamaha hat and Pearl snare stand and throne. Will probably have a K splash on a small mast mounted into the empty side of the Londoner mount, but didn't have it in the photo.

Dan .. I had a kit exactly like yours and sold it to finance a trip to the Mediterranean !.. In a way i regret it, but in a way i don't, as Greece was a dream to be in, even if it was only for 3 weeks.. ;)

Nice kits guys.. Glad to see this thread is getting some attention.!

Slingerland early '70s red tiger pearl, 20, 12, 14 w/ COB 6.5" TDR.

Before that it was the exact same set except the stage band version.

New Year's I gigged with my "modern" set...a Spaun that had never been out of the drum room for many years. Have to admit it sounded great and didn't need any tuning tweaking.

My kit for my last gig. Probably going to start taking these out more. Bass drum still needs some tweaking. Think I am going to change the batter head.
