Paul and Ringo getting together to play at the Grammies doesn't do it for me. (If) it had been John, Paul, George & Ringo at the Enormo-Dome somewhere before John & George passed away, -that- would have really scratched an itch!It wasn't another Milli-Vanilli incident. I think Dan nailed it. The man is 73... he was just up there for show.Just a personal note: I don't like Paul McCartney. Never have. For me, John Lennon was, 'The Beatles'.John
Everyone has their favorite Beatle, mine is Paul, the most successful one and of course, the best.
It took me YEARS to appreciate George's voice..but he is one of my all time faves now....
This is in regard to the"Ringo is 73"comments.There are plenty of "old guys"still able to play.Charlie Watts and Carmine Appice come to mind.I am not 73.I am only 66.I can still load my drums(along with a guitar amp and 1/2 of a PA system),drive an hour or more ,unload, set up,play 4 sets, tear down, drive home AND still walk in the door.Trust me,it is not as easy as it was when I was 26,but I still love it!I am sure Ringo's age had very little,or nothing to do with ABE playing with Sir Paul.Paul probably insisted on his whole band and I don't blame him.Oh,by the way,Ringo was my favorite Beatle(I know RINGO?)but they would never have been THE BEATLES without each of the four.God Bless George and John and to Ringo and Paul....Keep the faith.Oh,I've seen Paul do a three hour show without leaving the stage while the young guys all took a break. Thanks for letting me ramble. You know how us "old Folk"are.
