Not so my friend! Check out the hardware on this drum:

http://www.drumshop.co.uk/buy/worldmax-black-brassaztec-gold-snare-drum-bk-6514sfxg.htm

It's called: Aztec Gold. The finish on these parts looks identical to the gold finish used by Ludwig. The clips are brass so they'll hold up under pressure way better than the originals. I'll salt away the original parts and keep them safe.

Tomorrow can't come fast enough for me...

John

PS - Does anybody know what those little yellow stars are next to the title of this thread on the main page of the General forum? (TommyP?)

Too many great drums to list here!

I bought a WM snare just like that except with chrome hardware a few months ago. It is a pretty cool drum. Certainly Asian made, but it was cheap and I was curious. I also thought having a snare or two with stick choppers would be fun.

Back to topic, today is the day John! Hope you slept a little last night brother.

Like waiting for a baby to arrive. Purdie's trying to go the "natural" route but now it looks like he's tired of waiting and just wants the drugs.

I'm pacing over here! My regular mail hasn't been delivered yet, so it may still arrive. The USPS website says; it's supposed to be delivered today, but it is still 'in-transit.' I have no idea what that means. It shows the drum in Chicago but it's supposed to be here today???

I did a copy/paste of the info from USPS tracking. Here it is, tell me what you think it all means.

Tracking Number: RR49****905US

Current Status: in-transit

Scheduled Delivery Day: November 25, 2013

Product & Tracking Information

Postal Product:

Priority Mail 2-Day™

Features:

Registered Mail™

DATE & TIME

STATUS OF ITEM

LOCATION

November 25, 2013 , 11:59 am

Processed at USPS Origin Sort Facility

CHICAGO, IL 60699

In the meantime, I'm sitting here waiting! I've been talking to Tom via email and he doesn't know what it means either. If the package was clocked out of Chicago at 11:59 am, I won't see the drum until tomorrow, the earliest.

Bummed... don't know what's going on.

Robyn!

No need to correct you, as you are CORRECT! The rating system/stars for each thread happened to come with the software, and we have had people use it at times too, just not all that often. Enjoy!!

John.

Usually it it's on the delivery truck it says on the site "Out for delivery".

Still in transit,. just what it says. Sundays at USPS are not considered a travel day. That's what I been told many times.
