Wasn't that the name of the song that Shades and the older gentleman were jamming too, in the studio, in the movie That Thing You Do?

Yes, yes it was! Great tune too! I love that movie! "Table 19, your pizza is ready."

Funny Post

And that older gentleman was Del Paxton (don't know the dude's real name, sorry)

It was a fun movie. Del was played by actor, Bill Cobbs (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0167850/). The last scene is priceless.

PS - Oh. 49 Years old this past August and I've been playing in one shape or form, for 38 years. Started on a red sparkle, Stewart 4-piece. Been playing my used, '75 Gretsch walnuts, since '78. Love them.

Yeah, it was a cool movie. Tom Hanks called the house and wanted me to play the role of Shades, but I told him I only wear Blue Blockers. Besides, me and Liv Tyler were broken up at the time, so it probably would have been awkward on set. Oh well, I am sure other opportunities will surface!

Im 51... been playing most of my life. Orchestral and Fife & Drum during high school. Drumset at Berklee. Moved to Nashville in 1995. Worked as a touring drummer for a little over 10 years... most notably with the Dixie Chicks for 2 yrs (98-99). I still play/teach drums full time... don't really know how to do anything else! ... well actually I do, but this is more fun. Recently got bitten by the vintage bug... cant help but get interested when you teach at a small shop that restores drums. I play vintage drums 90% of the time now.

two photos from my touring days... George Strait Festival 99.

Ive been very fortunate and Im very thankful to have seen much of the world from behind a kit.

Very cool. My brother worked with George during that time. He and Sherman Halsey were making music video statements all over Nashville.

Hey Nash, thats me in section 102 row 28 seat 1. I saw the Dixie Chicks twice and the second tour was awsome. I have always said that I have never seen so many talented musicians on one stage together like that. They blew me away, very cool for you to be one of the group.

@ RogerSling... the name doesn't ring a bell, but you never know, we may have crossed paths.

Cool JC... The band on the 99 tour was excellent, very humbled to play with such fine musicians. The girls treated me very well and it was a fun show to play.

Ha, haa, haaaaaa, DH! Blue Blockers. Such discerning taste! You really stuck to your guns, you fashionista. Not many holdouts left in the world. Take that Tommy! = )

Good one.
