When You Were Younger Last viewed: 1 hour ago

I was in a ska band called Secret Agent 8 from about 2000 until 2004. We had regional success, played several Warped Tours spots in Houston, Tx. A few Mardi Gras in Galveston and cut a record at Sugar Hill Studio in Houston as well. Good times!!! That's me, top left.

Other photo is behind the set, an old Tama Swingstar with power toms :) in about 1997-98.. I was about 16 years old there

My first real drum set on my first paying gig in 1959. The drums are a used mid 50's Gretsch set with no floor tom. The finish is factory original Duco two tone of Cameo Coral and Charcoal Metallic. I set them up lefty style because I'm a lefty. But, then, I started to play them with lefty feet and righty hands. After a couple of months, I switched over to a righty configuration that I play open-handed style. I've played that way since 1959.A few drum sets later, here's my new Camco Blue Sparkle set on an outdoor gig in about 1964.

I really like that first photo there! Good stuff!

Found 2 pictures of my first and second kits! Received my first kit, a cool gold sparkle Lyra, in 1967. That's me playing them in a talent show in 1969. That's my brother on guitar! My second kit, which I purchased, was my beautiful 1972 Rogers Celebrity. I'm playing the kit with a band in my dorm at San Diego State, December 1972. What memories!

Here is mine 1969

Cool vibes. What's the band name on the bass drum? The man in the suit and glasses is doing a terrible job of hiding in the curtains.

Really great pictures and thanks to all. Born in 1961 so I missed quite a bit.

Nothing special here but I like them.

Here's the earliest shot of me behind a drum set, circa 1974-5.

What collection of drums are you playing? Looks like a little bit of everything... :)

Was that the infamous Vox "Cheesemaster" combo organ with the black and white keys reversed?

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.
