Which drum set is the best looking of all... Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Hi Guys and Gals,

I was looking at my Slingerland Catalog today and was wondering, What drum set is the best looking set of all....

I am prejudice , I'm a Slingerland guy and love two of the sets, first my copper over wood, and the yellow tiger pearl. Just thought I would bring the thought up, and ask if you all have a choice and maybe a picture...

I'll say Ludwig's Lemon Strata...but I could change my mind quickly...like maybe Ludwig's Salesman sparkle.

I'm currently much in love with the original Galaxy Sparkle but that is going to change.

Some close up's of the wrap from this 1962 Pre Serial Super Classic. I just love this finish so much.

I've got one of the coolest kits coming soon too..

Love my SS Club Dates but the kit pictured is probably best. If nothing else the bass drum spur design kicks the Luddies down the hall and out the building.

...still, I'll post a pic of the Club Dates once I get the BD hoops sorted out...:)

This is the one that got me more than any other set over the years, and I've probably owned 30 or 40 sets. However, none have been super rare or exotic finishes:

The nicest kit I've ever seen was posted here on VDF a couple of years ago and was a Ludwig white marine pearl club date that someone purchase from a lady drummer who kept them in cases all the time and handled them with gloves. Something like that. Maybe someone here recalls who it was and can repost the photo? It was immaculate.

It seems the responses are all focused on what is the best looking wrap, but the question Iamdrummer posed is "which drum set is the best looking of all", so ignoring the finish or wrap, my submissions for best looking drum set are the Trixon Speedfire and this Rogers set composed of every Big R tom made....
