From cooper

I'm obviously biased and I've posted photos of this set ad nauseum but it's still my favorite....

It seems the responses are all focused on what is the best looking wrap, but the question Iamdrummer posed is "which drum set is the best looking of all", so ignoring the finish or wrap, my submissions for best looking drum set are the Trixon Speedfire and this Rogers set composed of every Big R tom made....[Attachment: 93814] [Attachment: 93815]Mike

AWESOME ! Love that Big R Beast !

That is a great looking set, Human 71, the aged pink oyster is beautiful. Mchair303 was rite about best looking, I'm sorry, I meant best looking as far as wrap along with set up. I really love Neal Peart ( Rush ), set up with his copper set.

There are some really nice drums on this thread, please you all, send more, we need to see what you have.....

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Got to give it to Cooper's green pearl. Or maybe Big Blue. Tough call...

I have seen a couple so far that I like. Mark Cooper's green pearl is beautiful. I am obviously partial to the looks of a Cleveland Rogers 20,12,14 with a matching Powertone. I am also a sucker for green glass, Rogers Color Flake contrasting bass drum heads, and matching thrones complete the look for me. So...

Rogers Color Flake bass drum heads? Learn something new everyday here! Too cool.

For me it's hard to nail down the best looking drums and wrap. Just when I think I do 3 more pop up I like better. Marks SGP RK's are always a top contender though.

Glenn.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Yep. Rogers did Colorflake and Remo did Sparkltone heads in the late 60's in blue, gold, red, green and silver. I think they were probably both made by Remo. You could get them in all sizes. I dig them as resonant bass drum heads.

They were indeed both made by REMO! We all know who was a fan of these for a bit in the late 60's... Buddy! His was silver! Here's a pic out of my collection from the 1967 Newport Jazz Festival, taken during BR's short time with Trixon/VOX.
