I def met my share of girls when I was drumming. I just don't think it was the number of toms on my kit, usually just the idea of me being the drummer in the band. I remember one night I had arrived early to set up and sound check and then sat at the bar till time to play. I started hitting on this chick and she gave me the cold shoulder. Then I got up an played the first set. When I came back to the bar she sent a drink over to me. The rest is another story.

I love it when people totally ignore you until they see you playing on stage and then all of the sudden you are conversation worthy.

The flip side is I've been to local shows and had people think I'm somebody in or involved with the headlining band and try to start small talk. Its too funny because they won't ask your name or if you are in the band because they'd reveal that they don't even know $hit about the band they paid to come see.
