I'd rather hear Rival sons, your band did nothing for me, you mentioned Rival sounds like Zep, on that one tune a little maybe I'm the one who turned Kevin onto Rival sons, give the rest of their cd a listen it doesn't sound like zep. and beside is that a bad thing, I remember Jimmy page and Robert plant having a good laugh when Heart brought out barracuda, Pae and plants comment werethat is the best Zep song we never did.

There are no right and wrongs in matters of taste.

Oh and to be clear sounding like Zep isn't a bad thing, I just feel its been done before and won't be done any better than it originally was.

There is actually great music brewing- it is just available in truly alternative means to the mass-produced crap. I can't wait 'til the crap that passes for R&B (vocal histrionics over a lame tune and a sampled drum machine beat; nothing like the good R&B of the '60s and '70s) or Pop (machine music with lame melodies) goes away.

Thanks for exposing me to two bands I will be buying music from!!!!

And I already knew about Joe- he's a freakin' animal!!!!

Yeah- I'm THAT guy!!!

Agree to disagree. I will never cede the point that the 80's hair metal isn't the best music ever. I wouldn't trade you one of my worn out Dokken cassette tapes for all of your Beattles stuff if it was signed by the band and delivered by Ringo Starr!have a wonderful eveningdrumhack :Snow Flake:Guitar Dude

No problem we can have different taste in music it is OK.. :) but you would be happy to know I do not own not a single Beatles LP,cd, 8 track or 45...

But I have Deep Purples complete cd collection.. :)

Joe B is awesome I have listened to him for a long time so is Derek Trucks Joe plays Blues which is up my alley Derek is more new world, and eastern influences not my cup of tea but a heck of a guitar player I do like him more in the Allman Brothers Band

here is my choice for complete package in todays music great vocals, guitar amd matt, abts is a awesome drummer Gov;t Mule

Lol. I liked Deep Purple when half of em changed the band name to Whitesnake and started to rock the house proper.!!!

Also, congratulations on boycotting the original boy band. This now makes two of us!!

Clutch is amazing and all the guys are incredibly talented on their instruments.

Their old stuff is a little less bluesy a little more heavy metal, but its never without groove. I would suggest Strange Cousins from the West and Robot Hive/Exodus as the two albums to start with.

Here's a kickin tune released this year.......Every lick seems to have a purpose. All is not lost !!link

Uhhh....Dayum! A little Zep-is no doubt, but original and fairly smoulderin'. Thanks Kev, that was refreshing and an amazing little song that is sure to make it in, hopefully, many markets. I'd see those boys if they come around.

I'm with the majority on the majority of todays' "music"...ain't much to it I like.
