Thanks Fungus.....seems snare guard is a needle in a haystack...the few SSK's I've seen either have one or none (2nd generation), though honestly, only seen a few by doing a Google search...Mine also came short of the correct number of tension rods, so I used the earlier square heads that I had laying around....on the list to change when I can.Happy that once clean, has few dents/dings and mosts scratches are surface and not that noticeable.

I got lucky, although I paid $20 bucks more for my drum, the shell is almost perfect, no dents or dings, just a couple of scratches...just got lucky! My strainers are not in as good a shape as yours are though, a little more rust. You've got a beauty on you hands there!...just a little jealous!

Thanks Fungus, that makes me feel better. I'm happy with the shell, never expected it to be really nice, but happy that the chrome still nice and shines well, same with the lugs and hoops.

I can't imagine anybody parting out an SSK and selling the strainer guard separate from the strainer...but, in life, you never know. I'm happy I have one!LoLoLoLo
